What the desk is

Each supply sits in a jar. You put the jar on a station — Food, Litter, or Treats, or a station you add — so the bag can be found without guessing the closet. You write the remaining weight or count, the unit, the daily pace, and the date you opened it. Empty-by dates come from remaining amount divided by that pace.

Three moves

  1. Stock a jar — name, station, remaining amount, unit, daily pace, and the opened date.
  2. Log a scoop — each scoop knocks the remaining amount down and stays on a local scoop log.
  3. Log a restock — the remaining total goes up. The ticket stays on this phone. It is a receipt you keep, not a store and not a price tracker.

Stations and templates

Stations are labels on the phone. They are not a map of the house. Version 1.0.0 ships Food, Litter, and Treats. You may rename a station, add one, or move a jar so the label matches the real shelf.

Jar templates are local starters. They give a name, a unit, and a sample pace. You still write the remaining amount. The starters on the desk are a kibble bag (kg, 80 g / day), a litter pail (L, 0.4 L / day), a treat tin (pcs, 1 / day), and a wet pouch box (pouches, 1 / day).

Boards on the desk

  • Run-out watch lists empty-by dates from the pace you typed. It is not a feeding schedule.
  • All jars lists every jar. You can filter by station and open a jar to log a scoop.
  • Low-stock board lists jars at or below the mark you set. It is a count, not a shopping list.
  • Empty-by board marks October-style dates from your pace. A dot marks a jar. The board does not say how much to feed.
  • Desk stats count jars, scoops, and restocks. They are not a spend score and not a diet report.

A desk, not a clinic

  • Empty-by dates come from remaining amount divided by the pace you typed.
  • The app does not inspect food and does not give veterinary advice.
  • A scoop log is an amount change you wrote. It is not a feeding plan.
  • Appearance can be Cocoa desk or Night pantry. Both stay on the device.

Photos, notices, and backup

The photo picker opens only if you add a jar photo. Reminders stay off until you turn them on. The phone may then ask for notice permission. You can refuse both and still use the desk.

Backup writes stations, jars, remaining amounts, paces, scoops, and restock tickets as a JSON file through the system picker. The app does not ask for broad storage access. Nothing is uploaded for sync. If the picker is cancelled, the jars stay as they were.

If you delete a jar, that jar, its remaining amount, scoop log, and restock tickets leave the phone. If you erase the desk or uninstall without a backup, the desk cannot be restored from the Fairport office.

Privacy and terms

Stations, jars, remaining amounts, daily paces, notes, optional photos, scoop logs, and restock tickets stay on the device. The full statement is the privacy policy. Use of the desk also follows the terms of service.
